Annual Camp 2011 – Crawfordsburn Annual Camp 2011 is only a week away. Parents are excited at the thoughts of having 9 days rest and leaders are looking forward to 9 days without sleep!All the planning is done and the camp is nearly upon us. 10 packed days of camping, hiking, kayaking, learning and fun have been put together by Aidan and the other leaders in the hope the scouts have a great time away from home. The only thing we haven't sorted out yet is the weather. The scouts are to meet on Friday 22nd July at the scout hall at 1.30pm-1.45pm. The bus will be leaving the hall at 2pm. We will be coming home from Crawforsdburn on Sunday 31st July. Leaving Crawfordsburn at 2pm and hopefully home with all the gear packed away by 4pm. Below you will find an attached slide show that outlines everything we will be doing on the camp. Please take a few minutes to look at it. Also attached is a gear list for the boys. Please make sure that when the scouts are packing their bags that they do it themselves. That way they know where everything is. Any clothes taken are at the scouts own risk. Expensive clothes and runners may get ruined so leave them at home. There is also a medication form to print off if any scouts are going on the camp and need to take medication daily. Please fill in this form and give it to Finbar along with the medication. Money up to £80 will be taken into the scout bank. Fintan(Sherry) is the banker and will mind the money and provide free advise. Parents can lodge this money before we get on the bus.
