Schedule of Events

 

10:30am       Corduff Pipe Band start playing some songs outside hall

     -             Youth members/leaders assemble at hall in full uniform. Each

10:40am       person should wear their shamrock on their uniform.

                   Shamrock with green ribbons to be tied to flagpoles.

10:50am       Sections line up on road outside scouthall. (Gardai to be contacted to assist with traffic)

10:55am       National anthem played, and tri-colour raised on flagpole at scouthall.

11:00am       Order given to start parade to St. Patricks.

11:25am       Arrive St. Patricks for 11.30am Mass. Seats assigned at front of church. Band depart.

11:30am       Fr. Sheehan taken from back of church to altar. Flags line up in front of altar for shamrock to be blessed. Bowl of shamrock on altar – Fr. Sheehan, Fintan, Marie, Finbar to have shamrock pinned on. Fr. Sheehan to walk down aisle blessing congregation and their shamrock.

                   When blessing over, flags back down centre aisle.

                   *Scouts/Guides/Leaders for readings/prayers of faithful.

                   Flags on altar for consecration. Leave at “Our Father”

                   Fr. Sheehan to ‘be collected’ at end of Mass by colour party.

12:15pm       Mass over. Dismissed. No parade back and no assembly needed outside Parochial House.
